The offense continued once again for the Los Angeles Rams after losing the regular-season finale to the Arizona Cardinals 44-6.

Throughout the 2016 season, the Los Angeles Rams have seen plenty of low points, ranging from the firing of Jeff Fisher to the inability to find the end zone on offense. However, nothing could have prepared the Rams for what took place during Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals as the team was simply embarrassed by their division rivals.

Not only did Los Angeles fail to find the end zone once again, but they didn’t stand a chance against Arizona as they went on to lose the game 44-6. After a rough outing the first time around, Carson Palmer shined for the Cardinals in Week 17 by completing 20 of 38 passes for 255 yards with three touchdowns and an interception, as the veteran quarterback ended the season on a positive note.

Throughout the year, the Rams’ offense has been the laughing stock of the league by averaging less than 15 points per game, mainly due to a lack of receiving corps along with Todd Gurley‘s inability to get the ground game going. While Gurley ended up leading the team in rushing (40 yards) and receiving (37 yards), these numbers are the perfect example of how pathetic the offense has been all season for Los Angeles.

To top it off, the team’s disappointing finish against the Cardinals means Gurley went the entire season without recording a single 100-yard game, which nobody could have predicted at the beginning of the season. Expectations were high for Gurley entering his sophomore season after taking home Rookie of the Year honors last year, but disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe what took place for the former first-round pick in 2016.

What’s even more frustrating for the Rams is despite their 4-12 finish to the season, they don’t even have a first rounder in this year’s draft since the fifth overall pick will be going to the Tennessee Titans from the Jared Goff trade. After ending the year by losing 11 of their last 12 games, it’s safe to say the team’s first year back in Los Angeles was an absolute disaster as it’s certainly going to be a fun offseason addressing all of the areas in need of improvement.

Also, that list of issues in need of improvement includes the Rams finding a new head coach, which is going to be a fun process to experience.
