3. Brian Quick had another solid performance, with seven catches for 74 yards, and he just missed a big catch down the field in double-coverage on the Rams’ game-winning drive–is Quick clearly the Rams’ ‘number one receiver’ going forward, and if so, should we be expecting over 1,200 yards and six or more touchdowns? He’s currently on pace for over 100 catches and over 1,300 yards, but he has yet to score a touchdown.

Anthony K.: Another easy question–Brian Quick is absolutely the Rams’ ‘number one receiver’ and will be for the foreseeable future. He is finally starting to fulfill all of the potential that the Rams saw in him when they drafted him two years ago. Remember that the Rams could’ve drafted Alshon Jeffery instead, and look at how well he played last season for the Chicago Bears. So Jeffery only needed two seasons to fulfill his potential, and it looks like Quick needed a third–considering that he didn’t play at a major college football program, the extra year of development is not surprising at all. In fact, most of us expected that he would need more time to develop into a starting NFL wide receiver. But starting this preseason, I’ve been extremely impressed with his route running, speed, strength, and hands, and his first two games of the regular season have been no fluke. This kid is the real deal and I would put money on him reaching 1,200 yards and at least six touchdown receptions.

Nathan K.: Brian Quick has to be considered the Rams No.1 receiver by default, if nothing else. He appears to have built a rapport with both Shaun Hill and Austin Davis, and is taking advantage of defenses stacking the box to defend Zac Stacy and/or rolling coverage to Kenny Britt on the opposite side of the field. While touchdowns are always hit-and-miss, even with the elite of the elite, I could certainly see Brian Quick breaking the ‘1,000-yard receiver drought’ in St. Louis. I’ll wait for him to hit that before I talk about 1,200+ yards.

Blaine G.:I definitely think we can expect him to be the Rams’ number one receiver moving forward. 1,000 yards may still be a little out of reach, but something around 700 with 3-5 touchdowns would be a good year for Quick.
