Zac Stacy

Now before you all scroll down to the comment section and call me crazy, just take a look at the depth that the Rams have at the running back position and look at Stacy’s production.

If Tre Mason proved anything over the past two weeks, it’s that he can carry and NFL running back workload. The Rams also have Benny Cunningham and Trey Watts that are good complimentary running backs. Not to mention their secret weapon in the backfield, Tavon Austin.

More from Rams News

Stacy has been unimpressive in 2014. The second year running back out of Vanderbilt only has 240 yards on the ground this season and is averaging only 3.9 yards per carry. Quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson are out-rushing Stacy and DeMarco Murray almost has four times the amount of Stacy’s rushing yards this season.

There is no doubt that Stacy can be a starting running back in the NFL or at the very least a good complimentary back. Stacy’s cap number is very friendly as well as he is only making a bit over $500,000. Trading Stacy would not be a difficult task.
