There are certainly other spots that the St. Louis Rams will need to address at some point this offseason. First and foremost, they need someone to compete with Sam Bradford during training camp; someone that can legitimately challenge for the starting role and be an option for “the future” should something happen to Bradford.
However, there won’t be any “franchise quarterbacks” waiting around in free agency. The Rams will also need to upgrade the free safety spot, but with limited options in the free agent class, they might need to turn to the 2015 NFL Draft, or look for another option already on their roster.
Lastly, St. Louis will have to add some depth to the offensive line, particularly on the bookends. However, with Joe Barksdale likely to be retained and Jake Long still under contract, the Rams might opt to hold off in free agency and bolster the depth chart with some of their later-round selections in the Draft.
