Nick Foles Has Been ‘Hanging Out’ With Brian Quick

Newly acquired St. Louis Rams quarterback Nick Foles had a busy day with the St. Louis media on Friday. At 11:00 CT he had his introductory press conference and then not an hour later he was on the phone with The Turn on 101 ESPN St. Louis.

During his radio interview with The Turn, Foles was asked how he plans to get the chemistry going with his new wide receivers. Foles said that starts in the offseason and he’ll certainly gain chemistry with the receivers in April when they come to camp, however he did mention one Rams receiver who broke out in 2014 before suffering an injury of his own.

“I’ve been able to hang out with Brian Quick a little bit while I’m here, while he’s rehabbing, and getting to know him, it’s a tremendous group of guys that Im excited to work with. What you see is what you get with me, so I’m excited to throw to him.”

While Foles didnt mention that he and Quick had thrown together or anything, as that is doubtful, but just the fact that the two are hanging out and getting to know each other is a good sign. The relationship between a quarterback and his receivers is very important to the success of an offense, and it’s good to see Foles is starting to build that relationship.

Foles didnt answer a lot of questions during his introductory press conference, as he was only asked two, but he did reveal a lot in his radio interview and from the sounds of it, the Rams seem to have a solid leader at quarterback who is excited to get to work with his guys.

The former Eagles quarterback also mentioned that he is 100% healthy and could get on the field and play right now. Foles broke his collarbone which sidelined him for the second half of last season.
