Can the St Louis Rams Fix Their Offensive Line?

The St Louis Rams need offensive line help. In all honestly, it’s really the only major concern of this talented ball club. With a new quarterback under center, they will need to make sure that the line is good enough to prevent another catastrophe of an injury plagued season. It is also worth mentioning that the Rams are a run first offense, which surprisingly, (not really) requires a decent line as well.

The question then becomes a tough one to assess. With three of the Rams starting five gone, is it even possible for them to fix the line at this point?

Yes it is possible.

The first step is re-signing Barksdale at right tackle. If for any reason he should leave, another middle-top free agent is a must.

That leaves two spots open for the Rams to fill in the draft. This actually isn’t as bad as it sounds. When you look at two of the top three offensive lines, (Philadelphia and Baltimore) only two of the ten starters were drafted in the first round.

With the rams having a real possibility of trading down, they could have multiple second round picks this year. That leaves plenty of room to draft plenty of depth, and even allow for a couple of play-makers along the way.

I will give more on which offensive lineman they should pick after I have completed my scouting reports.
