The NFL has released the offseason workouts schedule for all 32 teams. With returning head coach Jeff Fisher, the St. Louis Rams will begin on April 20. From there, they will go to OTA workouts from beginning to late June, but will not hold a mandatory minicamp.

Here’s the full offseason workout schedule for the Rams:

First Day: April 20th

OTA Offseason Workouts: June 2, June 4-5, June 8-9, June 11, June 15-16, June 18-19

Mandatory Minicamp: None

As per the NFL’s new Collective Bargaining Agreement, each club’s official, voluntary nine-week offseason program is conducted in three phases. Phase One consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only.

Phase two consists of the next three weeks of the program. On-field workouts may include individual player instruction and drills as well as team practice conducted on a “separates” basis. No live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills are permitted.

Phase Three consists of the next four weeks of the program. Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or “OTAs”. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.

The CBA also allows teams to hold one mandatory minicamp for veteran players. However, the Rams are the only team in the NFL not to hold one. This comes as no surprise as Fisher has opted not to use the mandatory veteran minicamp throughout his tenure and will continue not to do so again.

Its been about two months since an NFL game has been played, but in just 16 days the players will be back on the field and things will begin to pick up pretty quickly once again with the NFL Draft, minicamps, and preseason right around the corner.
