St. Louis Rams Draft Rumors: Dolphins Looking to Trade Up With Rams

facebooktwitterreddit

As mentioned earlier today with the St. Louis Rams trading away Michael Brockers to move up rumor, from now until the draft, there will be rumors on rumors on rumors as to what teams are planning to do. Here is the latest from the rumor machine in CBS’ Jason La Canfora.

According to La Canfora, the Dolphins are looking to trade up to take Louisville’s DeVante Parker. This would make a lot of sense as the Dolphins are in the market for a wide receiver after a disastrous stint with Mike Wallace was ended after trading him away to the Minnesota Vikings.

The St. Louis Rams are also in good position to trade back as they are in the market for a wide receiver and there is a good chance that the number one target, Brandon Scherff, is off the board at ten. If the Rams are to trade back, it would put them in better position to take a player like Ereck Flowers.

The Dolphins hold the 14th overall pick which would mean that the Rams aren’t reaching so much to take a guy like Flowers, and the Dolphins get their guy in Parker. To move back four spots the Rams could get an extra fourth round pick as well as a possible sixth or seventh round pick

In 2012 the Philadelphia Eagles moved up from 15 to 12 with the Seattle Seahawks for their fourth and sixth round selection that year. In return the Eagles selected defensive tackle Fletcher Cox who has been solid in the middle of their defensive line.

This time of year there are a lot of draft rumors. Earlier today there was a rumor that the Rams will trade up and now we have one with them trading back. The good news in all this is that it shows that the Rams do have options, the only question is which option the Rams will take come Draft night.
