Los Angeles Rams may find their franchise QB with Jared Goff
By Alex Alarcon
It’s time for the Los Angeles Rams to make a big move during the NFL Draft, and all eyes should be on QB Jared Goff
With the move back to Los Angeles, fans were hoping the Rams would make some type of big move during the offseason to increase their chances for a playoff run; unfortunately it has been the same old Rams. One of the big improvements the Rams could have handle in the offseason was to select a new quarterback. Last year quarterback Nick Foles was a disappointment across the league, as his passer rating was one of the worst in the NFL. Quarterback Case Keenum would soon take the role as Foles went to the bench for the last half of the season.
Keenum would lead the Rams to 3 wins and 2 losses, with an impressive victory against the Seahawks in Seattle. Keenum was an upgrade from Foles, but can he lead the Rams for a long period of time. Should the Rams look towards the NFL Draft to see if they can find their franchise quarterback? There is one quarterback in the draft the Rams should keep a close eye on.
L.A Daily News columnist Vincent Bonsignore wrote about how the Rams quarterback situation is much needed and they must have a game plan with the Draft comes in April. With the Rams losing some key players on defense, they must help their worst offense in the league, and find someone who will take charge of the offense. Well according to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Case Keenum he wants to lead the offense, and is excited that multiple coaches are behind his back.

The Browns are one of many teams who are still quarterback hunting, and it looks to be quarterback Carson Wentz heading to Cleveland. With Wentz heading to the Browns, that leaves the Rams, 49ers, Eagles and Broncos looking to add a quarterback. With the Rams holding the 15th pick in the draft, Quarterback Jared Goff may be taken off the board, they need to act fast in the draft.
According to a study done from Football Outsiders they detailed an analytics study on Sunday that broke down 50,000 simulations for each quarterback prospect in this draft. It came up with a clear conclusion: Jared Goff of Cal is far and away the prospect who projects best into the NFL. According to the study, Goff is the ninth-best quarterback prospect since 1999, based on QBASE. He ranks right behind Ben Roethlisberger, and just ahead of Aaron Rodgers.
Jared Goff could be the Los Angeles Rams franchise quarterback, but he will have to win the starting quarterback job in Training Camp against Nick Foles, Sean Mannion and Case Keenum. Should the Los Angeles Rams trade up for Goff? Leave your thoughts below..
