Los Angeles Fans are happy they finally get to see the Rams back at home, but I hope they realize that one person may ruin all the fun
Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher will be entering his 5th season with the team, as he has yet to reach the playoffs with the Rams organization. Some may say that Fisher team’s are not able to win a playoff game because of their performance every Sunday, or it could be because Fisher is the most average coach in the NFL.
Jeff Fisher finished last season with a 7-9 record. Once again another not so horrible season, but not great season, we like to call this average. Will Fisher be able to lead the Rams to the playoffs? By looking at his records as a NFL head coach, there is a 100 % chance the Rams finish with yet another average season.
Fisher has coached in 326 games, with a record of 169-156-1. He has a winning percentage of .520, which falls into the category of average. In those 21 seasons of coaching, Fisher has had five .500 records. From 1996-1998 Fisher would coach the Oilers to three straight 8-8 records. Impressive huh?

Fisher had seven or eight wins in 10 of his last 21 seasons coaching. Half of his coaching can be basically described with one word: Average. However don’t worry, Fisher also has playoff experience. But by looking at his playoff record, once again another average record. (5-6 in the playoffs) Here’s another interesting stat about the Rams head coach, Fisher coached the Titans to a 23-9 record from 2002-2003.
Now that is impressive right? However being the average coach he is, the following two years would result in records of 9-23. Wait add those two together and you got yourself a perfect .500 average coach! The last time Jeff Fisher was able to say he won a playoff game was back in 2003, yes that is 13 years ago. If the Rams are hoping to make the playoffs in Los Angeles, two scenario’s need to happen.
- The Rams need some type of quarterback
- Jeff Fisher needs to stop being average
It’s pretty simple right? Let’s see with Jeff Fisher coming back home to the Coliseum it could spark some mustache magic. The Rams return back to Los Angeles to face the Dallas Cowboys in the first preseason game in the Coliseum.
