It appears Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason has been staying at his mother’s house in Lake Worth, Florida.

After failing to show up on the first day of training camp, there’s been plenty of concern over the whereabouts of Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason–especially since nobody on the team had heard from him in seven months.

At this point, the Rams haven’t been as concerned about football when it comes to Mason as they’re more concerned over his safety after reports surfaced about police showing up at the running back’s house five times since March. What’s even more scary is nobody seemed to know where Mason has been over the last week since he was absent from camp, but it appears he’s been hanging out in Lake Worth, Florida with his mother.

WPBF 25 News reports that Mason was spotted at his mother’s house in Lake Worth, but he supposedly walked inside as soon as the questions started coming out. To top it off, Mason was apparently seen running practice drills in the front yard–which makes this whole situation even more bizarre.

First off, if Mason is going to be running practice drills, why not do it with the rest of his teammates at UC Irvine? Mason of all players needs to be present at practice after averaging just 2.8 yards per carry in 2015 and by choosing not to attend camp, he’s putting his NFL career at risk.

The sad thing is Mason was fighting just to be the team’s No. 2 running back behind Todd Gurley this upcoming season and that obviously seems unlikely with the Rams first preseason game taking place next week. Mason can train all he wants at his mother’s house in Florida, but that type of training instead of showing up at camp isn’t going to earn him a roster spot for the Rams–or any other team–for the 2016 season.
