Los Angeles Rams legend Eric Dickerson talked about his meeting with the team on Thursday Night.
Los Angeles Rams COO Kevin Demoff and NFL great Eric Dickerson had a meeting on Thursday night to talk about his feud with head coach Jeff Fisher.
Dickerson and Demoff reportedly talked for over two hours in the meeting and discussed his recent spat with Fisher, which came to the national spotlight after Dickerson claimed Fisher had banned him from the sidelines.
Here’s what Dickerson had to say about the Thursday meeting with Demoff, via ESPN.com:
"“I had a very good meeting with Kevin Demoff [on Thursday],” Dickerson said Friday on SportsCenter. “We talked for almost three hours, trying to resolve things … the conversation went well. I think we got some things resolved. He said, ‘You’re always part of the organization.'”"
While the meeting with Demoff was positive, Dickerson reiterated he won’t be coming back to games as long as Fisher is the head coach:
"“One thing with me — If I say something, I stand by it,” Dickerson said. “I will not go back to the games as long as Jeff Fisher is there. … I don’t have a vendetta against Jeff at all. I give Demoff credit for saying, ‘We want to try to get this issue straightened out, we want you to come back … you’re more than welcome to come back.’“But no, I won’t because I felt like the call to me was a very disrespectful call. It was like I’m a kid and he’s putting me on notice.”"
The more we hear Demoff defending Fisher and his horrid record, the more it’s clear the embattled head coach isn’t going anywhere. And until he does, the Dickerson boycott will be a major black eye for the organization.
