Former Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher plans on returning to the sidelines in the future.

After losing his job with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Jeff Fisher intends on coaching again down the road.

During the Thursday Night Football broadcast, announcer Al Michaels revealed a conversation he had with Fisher. The former Rams head coach told Michaels that he intends to coach again.

Whoever hires Fisher will have the dishonor of being the team that gets him the dubious distinction of the losingest head coach in NFL history. Fisher has 165 career losses and is tied for the all-time record with Dan Reeves.

In his nearly five full seasons with the Rams, Fisher posted a 31-45-1 record and failed to record a single winning season. Fisher’s career record is 173-165-1 and the last winning season he enjoyed was in 2008 with the Tennessee Titans.

As a whole, the Rams haven’t had a winning season since 2003.

When Fisher returns to the sidelines remains to be seen, but there should be a handful of vacancies throughout the league following the 2016 season. The only problem for Fisher is his poor record with the Rams might hurt his chances, although you’d figure there’s at least one franchise out there willing to give him a shot.

At least, Fisher could be looking at openings in Jacksonville, Buffalo, San Diego and Indianapolis, to name a few. It’s also quite possible that Fisher takes a year off after the tumultuous run he’s had in St. Louis and Los Angeles. After departing from the Titans in 2010, Fisher took a year off before joining the Rams in 2012.
