Watch Rams RB Todd Gurley Break Ankles in Pickup Basketball Game
By Dan Parzych
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley recently showed off his basketball skills during a pickup game at a fitness center.
Despite his production being down this past season after taking home Rookie of the Year honors in 2015, the Los Angeles Rams hope Todd Gurley can bounce back and emerge as one of the top running backs in the league heading into next year. For now, the former first-round pick will spend the next few months training and staying in shape to make sure that happens, which apparently includes playing a little basketball.

Gurley recently participated in a pickup basketball game at a 24 Hour Fitness in California, and thanks to one fan watching on the sidelines, the Rams running back was caught on film breaking the ankles of one defender. What makes this video even more amazing is the fact that Gurley took the time out of his day to participate in a pickup basketball game these fans will remember for the rest of their lives. As for the running back’s 2016 campaign, here’s to hoping Los Angeles can fix their issues at wide receiver and the offensive line to help make sure Gurley doesn’t experience another year in which he fails to record a single 100-yard game. Otherwise, 2017 could turn out to be even more frustrating for Gurley and the Rams.
