The Los Angeles Rams are in the market for signing another cornerback and have scheduled a visit with Kayvon Webster.

A few days ago, there was talk about the Los Angeles Rams showing interest in former Denver Broncos cornerback Kayvon Webster, who coincidentally spent the last two seasons under new defensive coordinator Wade Phillips. Turns out, the interest between Webster and the Rams is real, as it will be interesting to see what type of moves, if any, are made in the next few days.

Webster took to his Twitter account on Sunday with a photo of his plane ticket heading to Los Angeles to schedule his first visit of free agency with the Rams, which will hopefully turn out to be his only trip depending on how the meeting goes between the two parties. Webster may only have two starts from the four years he spent with Denver, but the cornerback seems capable of handling the responsibilities of a full-time starter.

Los Angeles may have heavily invested in Trumaine Johnson after using the franchise tag on the cornerback for the second year in a row, but they could still use a solid No. 2 for Phillips’ defense. Plus, if the Rams do continue shopping Johnson around for a possible trade partner, the team will be in need for another cornerback like Webster even more.

It’s only been a few days, but Los Angeles has been making plenty of great moves early on in free agency with the key signings of Andrew Whitworth and Robert Woods. Hopefully, all goes well with the meeting between Webster and the Rams so the team can continue their success in what has already been a great start to free agency.
