Los Angeles Rams catch bad break with torn ACL for Dominique Easley
By Dan Parzych
The Los Angeles Rams received the unfortunate news that Dominique Easley will miss the 2017 NFL season.
On Tuesday, there was concern surrounding Dominique Easley of the Los Angeles Rams after the defensive tackle was carted off the practice field from what appeared to be a serious leg injury. Unfortunately, that major concern was confirmed on Wednesday, as Wade Phillips and the rest of the Rams’ defense will have to adjust to playing the upcoming season without Easley.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday morning what Los Angeles feared the most, which is that Easley will be out for the entire year due to a torn ACL. As bad as it sounds, there was a high level of concern about how this was the serious injury suffered by Easley since he has an unfortunate history of torn ACLs.
Back during his college days at Florida, Easley tore his ACL in both knees, and with this latest injury to the Rams defensive tackle, it’s tough not to wonder how difficult the recovery process is going to be this time around. Obviously, these type of knee injuries are never fun to experience in the first place, but keep in mind that Easley was only entering his fourth NFL season, meaning he still seemed to have plenty of effect years left in him.

Between this latest injury to Easley along with Aaron Donald continuing to holdout for a new contract, training camp hasn’t gone according to plan for Los Angeles so far, and it hasn’t even been a full week. Training camp always brings plenty of excitement to the table since it means the regular season is right around the corner, but this injury to Easley is also the perfect example of how frustrating these practices can be when stuff like this goes down.
