3 key storylines as the Rams head towards season opener

With the 2017 NFL season right around the corner, Los Angeles Rams fans should have a pretty good idea what to expect this year in the Coliseum.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff enters his second season in Los Angeles with optimism high as the Sean McVay era begins in earnest.

Odds are this will will not be a replay of Jeff Fisher and his remarkable dysfunction or overwhelming underachieving. The Rams have pushed all the right buttons, from hiring McVay, to an offensive centric draft, and engineering what might be a season changing trade with the acquisition of Sammy Watkins from the Buffalo Bills.
But will that be enough to drag this franchise from the sub .500 record they have courted the past decade?
Make no bones about it; this is a season of renewal in Los Angeles, and it is WAY overdue.
With the reset of Rams football upon the city of Los Angeles, three key storylines are pretty well established as the team looks to distance itself from the collapse of 2016. Give credit where credit is due; General Manager Les Snead has, for the most part, put this team in a good position for success this year. The Aaron Donald holdout not withstanding, this season is about getting their would be franchise quarterback over the hump.
