For whatever reason, the Los Angeles Rams seem to play some of their best football away from home this year.

With an upcoming matchup in London against the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams may technically be considered the home team, but in a way, this is sort of an away game as well for Sean McVay‘s squad. And if that ends up being the approach the Rams take, this team could be heading towards a 5-2 start to top their win total from a year ago.

While Los Angeles has been one of the biggest surprises in the first half of the 2017 season thanks to a 4-2 record that has them on top of the NFC West at the moment, what’s even more impressive is three of those wins have come on the road. In their latest victory, the Rams were able to get by a very difficult Jacksonville Jaguars team thanks to special teams stepping it up.

Along with this big win against Jacksonville, Los Angeles also received high praise for two other wins on the road in tough environments between the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys. So with Sunday’s game against the Cardinals taking place in London, hopefully McVay’s team will be able to continue that success away from home, although there will certainly be plenty of Rams fans in attendance.

As mentioned before, this is technically a home game for Los Angeles based off the schedule. But in a way, treating Sunday’s game in London against the Cardinals could benefit the Rams when seeing how successful they’ve already been on the road this season, which is quite amazing to think about after all of the struggles this team dealt with last year.
