The Los Angeles Rams will take a 5-2 record to East Rutherford, New Jersey to face the1-6 cellar dwellers, New York Giants.

Week 9 gets the second half of the season underway for the Los Angeles Rams. Again on the road, and again on the East Coast (a now familiar theme as they pay off the move to LA), the team will play a 1-6 New York Giants.

It’ll be a test for Los Angeles. Even at 1-6, the Rams will get a team absolutely desperate to escape the cellar of the NFC East. Eli Manning, the veteran Giants quarterback, looks to be upside down this season, with speculation about New York possibly considering turning the page on the two-time Super Bowl quarterback.

The Rams meanwhile, bring a 5-2 record to Week 9 and a world of expectations with it. Listen to the sports media, and it would seem LA is on the verge of the playoffs and maybe a run at an NFC West title.

They could be.

But first, Los Angeles needs to be sure to beat the teams they should beat.

The Giants are one of those teams.

Looking at what’s ahead, those teams become few and far between in the last eight games after Week 9. Add 0-8 San Francisco rolling out a new quarterback soon, and the Rams need to take advantage when they clearly have the better team.

At MetLife Stadium, Los Angeles will clearly be the better team.
