The Los Angeles Rams close the month of November with a record of 3-1, and head into a pivotal December with the playoffs and a division title within reach.

The Los Angeles Rams roll into the month of December with a full head of steam and an 8-3 record, after a watershed victory over the New Orleans Saints, 26-20 in the Coliseum, to wrap-up Week 12 and the month of November.

Not bad, huh?

The Rams have already exceeded expectations and are now trending towards both an NFC West title and a playoff berth. Add to that a media who is increasingly ‘all in’ on this young team, and spirits are high in Los Angeles.

They should be.

I’m the first to admit that after a flat performance against the Vikings in Minneapolis, it was hard to know whether or not the Rams could bounce back against a very good New Orleans Saints team.

But they did.

Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips and the Los Angeles defense contained Drew Brees and a good Saints rushing offense. Outside of one big play, Brees was effectively, ineffective.

With the win, the Rams now find themselves facing five of the most critical games this franchise has played in the last 10 years.

Beginning with a road trip to Arizona this week, they get a team with a third string quarterback and a rebuild on the immediate horizon.

Next is the best team in football, when Philadelphia and Carson Wentz come West on December 10, for what will likely be, or at least should be, an NFL prime time matchup.

The Rams then head to Seattle on December 17 for what may be a passing of the torch in the NFC West.

LA finishes with Tennessee on Christmas Eve, and NFC West foe San Francisco on New Year’s Eve, perhaps settling playoff positions and a division title.
