Look for Goff to toss a couple of TD’s on Saturday. Yes, he’ll toss a couple and play more than a few series. McVay won’t show a lot, but he will have some plays designed to get Goff and his receivers some work.

Hey it’s about time, especially for the receiver who cost the Rams a first round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft AND managed to get a new deal before Aaron Donald.

I like the Rams to have something lined up to get Cooks an early touchdown and an introduction to the Los Angeles audience.

But he’s not the only guy who’ll catch a touchdown pass from Goff. Rookie running back John Kelly will be the other.

Kelly, the hands down winner this exhibition season, will continue to make his case to be the primary backup to Todd Gurley. He will also show why he may be the best offensive acquisition the Rams made this offseason, even better than Cooks.

Save the pearl clutching fans.

Kelly is the real deal, and every time he steps onto the field this preseason, and especially come the regular season, fans and the rest of the NFL will know that the Rams scored an absolute steal in the sixth round.

He’s that good.

On Saturday Goff will see in real-time just how good Gurley’s backup is, too.
