2. Jared Goff

There were some questionable decision by Goff during the first game of the season against the Raiders when looking at all of the tight passes he tried to squeeze in to some of his receivers, but overall, the Rams quarterback helped the team get a win. Entering his third NFL season, Goff has to be licking his chops over the kind of numbers he has the chance to put together when looking at all of the weapons he has to work with throughout the 2018 season.

In fact, there’s a good chance that when the time comes, Goff may end up finding his name in the MVP conversation if this high-powered offense lives up to their hype from the offseason, but for now the focus is on Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. Without question, Arizona’s defense is loaded with talent as well led by Patrick Peterson that will certainly do their best to make things difficult for Goff, but also that doesn’t mean he won’t be capable of handling the challenge.

Sunday’s game in front of the home crowd provides Goff with the perfect opportunity to once again show off his skill set of deserving to be in the conversation of a top quarterback in the NFL. Los Angeles never would have used the top overall pick on Goff in 2016 if they didn’t believe he was capable of being one of the best players at his position in the NFL, and after completing 18 of 33 passes for 233 yards with two touchdowns when facing the Raiders, the pressure comes to put up even better numbers when taking on the Cardinals.
