2. Gurley on pace to crush touchdown career high

Rightfully so, expectations were high for Todd Gurley heading into the 2018 season after finishing second behind Tom Brady last year when it came to the MVP award by recording 2,093 yards from the line of scrimmage to go along with 19 total touchdowns. Topping those numbers seemed like a long shot at first since the Rams are loaded with talent on offense, but based off the first six games, Gurley looks like he’s going to crush his touchdown total.

It’s one thing for Gurley to find the end zone at least once in every game so far, but seeing him already have 11 touchdowns through six games shows just how much of a factor he’s been for Los Angeles on offense. Adding two more touchdowns to his season total against the Broncos was impressive, but watching Gurley set a career high with 208 rushing yards while exposing Denver’s weak run defense was even more amazing to witness.

Best part is, Gurley is showing no signs of slowing down soon, and has once again has found his name in the conversation for the MVP award, although there’s still plenty of football left since it’s only the middle of October. Winning the MVP would be awesome to see for a running back like Gurley, but at the end of the day, it would be even cooler if the Rams running back helped his team hoist the Lombardi Trophy in Atlanta come February.
