Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff is having a tremendous 2018. While most would say, and correctly so that the Rams offense has primarily been Todd Gurley centric, Week 11 showed that in the case Gurley isn’t 100 percent, as is being reproted, Goff can carry the load.

That’s a big deal.

It’s no criticism that most have seen the Rams rely on their 2017 OPOY running back to be the ‘go-to’ weapon in McVay’s arsenal. It’s smart football especially when he’s been trending towards MVP consideration.

However, Monday night showed a difference making Goff. The Rams quarterback threw for 413 yards on 49 attempts, completing 32 of those passes. His four touchdowns were essential in keeping up with the barrage of offense that came from Kansas City.

But beyond that, fans and the media at large have seen Goff be steady at the controls. He hasn’t put Los Angeles in jeopardy with the costly turnovers, and if you look at the one blemish the Rams have this season, a 46-35 loss to New Orleans, it was some bad defense that turned out costly in that game.

Goff has emerged as a legitimate leader in Los Angeles, and his trajectory in year three of his professional career has him tracking towards franchise type quarterback. The Rams aren’t 10-1 without him and given what the NFL world saw on Monday Night Football, that kind of performance will be more trend than blip.
