2. Lack of touches for Gurley

Like most players in the NFL, there are going to be times in which Todd Gurley doesn’t have the best of games for the Rams, which was exactly the case during Sunday’s loss to the Bears.

More from Ramblin' Fan

When looking at the overall success of Chicago’s defense during the 2018 season, Gurley knew this was going to be one of his tougher outings since there’s a reason why the unit is viewed as one of the best in the league.

So how exactly did Gurley do? Well, let’s just say this was a game that most Rams fans (along with fantasy owners) would prefer to forget when seeing how the MVP candidate finished the night with just 28 rushing yards on 11 carries.

No matter how hard Gurley tried to get some consistency going, this Bears’ defense was simply just too much for him to handle in this one, although this doesn’t mean there’s reason for concern.

Keep in mind that if Los Angeles didn’t find themselves trailing for a good portion of the game, chances are Gurley would have seen plenty of more touches since it’s always easier to run an offense when a team isn’t playing from behind.

With a favorable Week 15 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, there’s every reason to believe Gurley will bounce back in one of the strongest ways possible next Sunday night.
