3. Anderson, Kelly seem capable of handling duties

As a safety precaution, the Rams made the decision this week to bring C.J. Anderson on board after previous stints with the Carolina Panthers and Oakland Raiders this season.

Despite the hope surrounding John Kelly being able to return to his effective form from the preseason, Los Angeles seemed to figure that between Gurley’s minor injury along with Justin Davis dealing with a shoulder issue, there was no harm in signing Anderson.

Plus, when seeing how Anderson won a Super Bowl a few years ago as a member of the Denver Broncos, his playoff experience could become quite handy by the time January rolls around since the Rams will need all of the extra help they can get.

Whether they want to admit or not, last January made it clear just how inexperienced this Rams team is when it comes to the playoffs when seeing how bad of a game they played against the Atlanta Falcons.

This time around, however, those same members on Los Angeles should be able to perform much better since they now know what it’s like to participate in the postseason. And with Anderson hoping to help the Rams end the regular season on a high note now that he’s on board, Los Angeles should feel much better about their running back situation if they considered the thought of resting Gurley.
