3 takeaways from Los Angeles Rams 31-9 win over Arizona Cardinals in Week 16

1. Goff bounces back with solid performance
Over his previous three games leading up to Sunday’s contest against Arizona, Jared Goff hasn’t exactly been the most reliable quarterback for the Rams when seeing how he only had one touchdown pass to his name to go along with six interceptions.

Even more frustrating, Goff failed to throw a single touchdown pass in two important contests against the Bears and Eagles, both of which resulted in losses for Los Angeles.
All eyes were on Goff during Week 16 to see how he would look against a Cardinals team that has been playing so bad this year, there’s a good chance of them even earning a top draft pick.
Goff may not have finished with the most explosive game during the win over Arizona, but the former No. 1 pick did just enough on offense by completing 19 of 24 passes for 216 yards with a touchdown pass, and no interceptions.
To top it off, Goff managed to sneak a touchdown in using his legs, giving him one of those games to boost his confidence, which he desperately needed.
Gurley has always made the biggest impact on offense dating back to last season, but how far this Rams team goes in the playoffs could fall on the shoulders of Goff.
With more performances like this, Los Angeles will feel much better about their beloved quarterback come playoff time, as Goff has to be relieved as well to put together a performance like this one.
