3. Dallas Cowboys

Early on in the season, the Dallas Cowboys were hoping to see some of their younger receivers step up on offense after the team made the surprise decision in the offseason to release Dez Bryant.

Unfortunately, Dak Prescott failed to receive the consistent help he clearly needed from his teammates, and as a result, the Cowboys would end up sacrificing a future first-round pick in order to acquire Amari Cooper from the Oakland Raiders.

Turns out, the risk to land Cooper was the best decision that Dallas ever could have made when looking at how much of a difference maker he’s been for the offense. And when taking into consideration the Cowboys already have one of the league’s toughest running backs in Ezekiel Elliott for Prescott to rely on, this offense could cause problems for just about any defense, including the Rams.

As the No. 4 seed, Dallas will open up their playoff run by hosting a team that Los Angeles is all too familiar with in the Seattle Seahawks. Defeating a dangerous team led by Russell Wilson won’t be easy, but the Cowboys seem ready for the challenge to potentially set up a future meeting with the Rams, depending on what happens with the other NFC playoff game.
