3. Keeping football out of Jeffery’s hands

Plenty of players on offense for the Eagles have benefitted from Foles taking over the starting job under center, but the argument can be made that no one has stood out more than Alshon Jeffery over the last month.

With all due respect to Wentz, it had been frustrating to see Jeffery struggle to get involved in the passing game for the most part during the regular season when seeing how prior to the game against the Rams, he had only broken the 100-yard mark once, back in September.

When healthy, Jeffery has proven he can be one of the most reliable receivers in the NFL, but for whatever reason he just didn’t look the same in the passing game.

Right away with Foles, Jeffery looked like the amazing receiver from the end of last season when he helped the Eagles earn their first Super Bowl title after hauling in all eight passes thrown in his direction against the Rams for 160 yards.

All of a sudden, it seemed like Foles being back in action was the best thing to happen to Jeffery, and if the wideout happens to get a second meeting with the Rams, he would love nothing more than to match that previous performance.

The circumstances for Los Angeles may be different since Aqib Talib is back and healthy, but Jeffery has taken down plenty of great cornerbacks before, meaning this time would be nothing different.
