2. Only four carries by Gurley
After all of the success in the Divisional Round with their new dynamic duo at running back, the Rams were expected to heavily rely on Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson once again. And while Anderson certainly took on the expected workload, Gurley’s situation was a bit different.

Since joining the NFL, Gurely has established a reputation for being a top running back in the league while proving to be a touchdown machine, but there were times in the NFC Championship when he didn’t look like himself.
Towards the end of the regular season, Gurley was dealing with a minor knee issue that prevented him from playing the final two games, and after looking like his normal self in the win over the Dallas Cowboys, all seemed to be fine heading into Sunday.
The Rams never admitted that something was wrong with Gurley, but seeing the running back only receive four carries for 10 yards with a score makes it easy to assume he wasn’t looking like his usual self.
Even if Los Angeles will just make the claim that Gurley’s rough start in which he dropped two key passes resulted in Anderson seeing more action, it’s tough not to wonder if something was truly up with the star running back, although all that matters is the Rams still won.
