2. Defense has stepped up for Rams in postseason

Entering the playoffs, one of the biggest concerns surrounding Los Angeles was how much the defense struggled in the regular season when it came to stopping the run, but it looks like that two-week gap before the Divisional Round paid off in a big way.

Between holding Ezekiel Elliott to just 47 rushing yards to watching Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara combine for just 46 rushing yards in the NFC Championship, the Rams deserve plenty of credit for making the necessary adjustments on the defensive side of the football.

Take this into consideration with the fact that Los Angeles has watched their cornerback duo in Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters step up in a big way as well, this defensive unit has every reason in the world to feel confident in their chances of applying the same success against New England.

Keeping a talented offense with dangerous weapons like Julian Edelman and James White for Brady to work with won’t be easy, but the Rams seem ready for this latest challenge.
