3. Simply too much talent on both sides of football

Back in the offseason, the Rams seemed to be adding any talent possible on both sides of the football that seemed worthy of putting them in great position to make a serious run at the Super Bowl.

Coming up short the way they did to New England was a tough pill to swallow, but the good news for Los Angeles is a majority of that talent will be back in the picture for the 2019 season.

Prior to the start of the 2018 season, the Rams took care of business with numerous players after rewarding extensions to Todd Gurley, Brandin Cooks, and even Aaron Donald.

Los Angeles may have to figure out what to do with certain players like Ndamukong Suh and LaMarcus Joyner in the next month or so, but even if they happen to be out of the picture for 2019, the Rams will still have plenty of talent to work with.

The fact that Los Angeles was able to earn a trip to the Super Bowl the way they did after looking at where they were two years ago says a lot about how special of a team McVay and company have put together.

From a talent perspective, there’s no question the Rams will be one of the best in the league once again in 2019, and anyone who thinks otherwise will most likely be in for a major wake-up call.
