10. Denver Broncos: Drew Lock, Quarterback, Missouri

During one of the quieter times of the offseason, the Denver Broncos pulled off a surprise move by agreeing to acquire Joe Flacco from the Baltimore Ravens, making it clear the Case Keenum era was over after just one disappointing season.

From an experience perspective, Flacco is easily a major upgrade over Keenum under center since he’s a former Super Bowl MVP for a reason, but even the Broncos know the veteran quarterback isn’t going to be around forever.

As bad as it sounds, it seems pretty clear that Flacco is only a short-term rental for Denver since it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was only around for a couple more seasons before the time comes to call it a career.

So if the Broncos end up being in position to land a potential quarterback of the future like Drew Lock to wrap up the top 10, it would seem like the perfect opportunity.

Football fans can say what they want about John Elway’s inability to draft quarterbacks, but the Missouri product seems to have the necessary tools to one day develop into a great NFL quarterback.

Lock will need some time to develop, but at least with Flacco part of the picture, Denver can afford to wait a little bit if necessary.
