25. Philadelphia Eagles: Byron Murphy, Cornerback, Washington

Losing to the New Orleans Saints was devastating for the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round after looking at everything the team overcame just to be in that position, but at least it gives them hope for 2019 as well.

Just the fact that Philadelphia was able to overcome all of the injuries they did, and still be in this position to battle New Orleans in the postseason shows how special of a group Doug Pederson has on his hands, although there’s always room for improvement.

Without question, the cornerback position is going to be one of the biggest questions surrounding the Eagles from now until the end of April, especially if Ronald Darby ends up leaving in free agency.

Two years ago, Philadelphia felt confident enough in landing a steal in the second round with Sidney Jones, and if they ended up going with another star from Washington like Byron Murphy in the first round, this wouldn’t come as a surprise at all.

Murphy has proven on numerous occasions how he’s not afraid to be a hard hitter, and joining a team like the Eagles could result in some significant playing time as a rookie since Philadelphia doesn’t seem to have any set starters at the moment.
