7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kyler Murray, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Speaking of teams expected to strongly consider a quarterback in the first round of this year’s draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars learned the hard way that rewarding Blake Bortles with a hefty extension last year was a huge mistake.

Just when it seemed like the former first-round pick was finally on the right track after the Jaguars reached the AFC Championship, Bortles took another step back this past season, and as a result, Jacksonville seems to be exploring all possibilities.

At this point in the offseason, the Jaguars have been viewed as one of the favorites to potentially land Nick Foles if the Philadelphia Eagles end up using the franchise tag on the former Super Bowl MVP before trading him. But even if that is the case, Jacksonville still needs to figure out their plans for a potential quarterback of the future since Foles isn’t getting any younger.

Now that Kyler Murray has made the decision to fully focus on football, the Jaguars will be listed as a potential landing spot for the Oklahoma standout since it will be difficult to pass on a quarterback who threw for 4,361 yards and 42 touchdowns as a junior.

Not to mention, Murray is one of those dual-threat quarterbacks due to his ability to run after rushing for 1,001 yards along with 12 touchdowns as well as a junior, meaning it may be difficult for Jacksonville to pass up on the potential opportunity.
