1. Kemal Ishmael

After spending the last six seasons in Atlanta, could Kemal Ishmael finally be heading to a new team? As bad as it sounds, if the Falcons really wanted to keep Ishmael around for the long run, they most likely would have given him a better contract over the last two seasons instead of back-to-back one-year deals.

There aren’t many former seventh-round picks who have what it takes to last as long as Ishmael did with one team, and while Atlanta may feel letting him hit free agency is what’s best for them as a team, this doesn’t mean someone else can’t use his set of skills.

Similar to his role with the Falcons, Ishmael may not be the consistent starter Los Angeles is looking for on the defensive side of the football, but at least they would have reasons to feel confident in his ability to step up whenever he did see action on the field.

Defense will be a key factor for the Rams when it comes to seeing if this team has what it takes to make another run at the Super Bowl with hopefully better results than this past season. Who knows, maybe Ishmael has what it takes to be a surprise fit in Los Angeles, and the best part is it most likely wouldn’t cost the team that much at all.
