3. Shane Ray

Since there were previous trade rumors surrounding Shane Ray las season, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see the defender on the verge of hitting the open market in free agency, although it will be interesting to see what kind of offers he receives from interested teams.

More from Ramblin' Fan

Back in 2015, the Broncos decided to use a first-round pick (No. 23) on Ray with the intention that he would have a solid career in Denver, which looked to be the case at first.

By recording 12 sacks over his first two seasons, including eight in 2016, Ray seemed to be living up to the first-round hype until it all started to go down over the last two seasons with his lack of impact on the defensive side of the football.

The fact that Ray failed to start once in the 11 games played in this past season was basically a writing on the wall when it comes to eventually being on his way out, but just because things went south in Denver doesn’t mean this would be the same in Los Angeles.

Keep in mind during those first two seasons in which Ray recorded 12 sacks, Wade Phillips was his defensive coordinator, meaning a reunion between the two could work out for the best with both parties.
