4. Chase Winovich

Over the years, Michigan has seen plenty of great defenders go on to succeed at the NFL level, and it seems like only a matter of time before Chase Winovich soon adds his name to that impressive list.

More from Ramblin' Fan

This year’s draft class seems to be loaded with plenty of talented edge rushers expected to go in the first round, but Winovich is a name many experts believe is a strong candidate to go in the second round.

From a defensive perspective, the Rams are already fortunate to have one of the best players the game has to offer in Aaron Donald, but Wade Phillips is always up for bringing on new talent to work with.

Whether it’s his first-step quickness or the physical style of play he brings to the table, Winovich would be a great addition for Los Angeles on defense if the interest were there for both parties.

After recording 18.5 sacks and 43 tackles for loss during his final three seasons with the Wolverines, Winovich is clearly ready to make the transition to making an impact on the NFL level.

As for whether Winovich’s first NFL team will end up being the Rams, only time will tell for the star defender.
