Los Angeles Rams: David Long
While there were plenty of great selections by the Rams in the draft that already show early signs of being a steal, the one player that stands out the most is David Long from Michigan since the hope is he one day develops into a reliable starter at cornerback.

At the moment, Los Angeles has a solid duo to work with at cornerback on defense with Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib, but it’s beyond the 2019 season in which there is some uncertainty surrounding the position.
Between Peters possibly earning a new contract along with Talib getting up there in age, Los Angeles knows there’s a chance that both cornerbacks could be gone after the 2019 season, which is why Long was such a valuable pick.
Long has received plenty of praise for his skills in man coverage over the years, and with Wade Phillips always loving a good project to work with on defense, one can only imagine how thrilled the defensive coordinator was over this addition.
Without question, the decision to select Long in the third round was conducted for the long run, and even though it’s early, this could turn out to be a major steal for the Rams.
