3. Jordan Mailata

Philadelphia knew they had nothing to lose during the draft in 2018 when they used a seventh-round pick on Jordan Mailata, but selecting a player with no football experience seemed like somewhat of a risk.

With this in mind, why were the Eagles willing to give Mailata a shot? Well, just look at Mailata’s size from the photo to go along with his success as a ruby player, and the goal for Philadelphia was to turn this pick into an absolute steal with the right development.

So far, it’s tough to say that Philadelphia regrets their decision on Mailata since it’s only been one year, and that would seem ridiculous, but also the team recently selecting Andre Dillard in the draft could impact his future.

Since there’s a chance that Andrew Whitworth will be gone after the 2019 season if the veteran decides to call it a career by retiring, the Rams decided to use a third-round pick in this year’s draft on Bobby Evans to potentially fill the void when that time does come.

But if Los Angeles wanted to provide the rookie with some extra competition, Mailata could be worth consideration for the Rams, and their recent success of developing offensive lineman.
