3. Charvarius Ward

After sending Peters to the Rams last offseason in a trade as mentioned before, the chances of the Chiefs doing the same again with a different player at the position seems highly unlikely, although anything is possible in the NFL.

At the moment, Los Angeles is in great position at cornerback with Peters and Aqib Talib, but with both cornerbacks entering the final year of their contracts, there is a little uncertainty beyond the 2019 season at the position.

Sure, the Rams could always end up rewarding one or both players with new deals to put them in better position at cornerback moving forward, but it never hurts to have some extra depth just in case.

Leading up to the start of the 2018 regular season, the Chiefs made the decision to acquire Charvarius Ward from the Dallas Cowboys after turning out to be one of the biggest surprise undrafted free agents from April.

Ward only started two of 13 games during his rookie campaign in Kansas City, but for a young player who previously went undrafted, this shows all sorts of potential.

Even if Los Angeles acquired Ward, and didn’t play him as much during the 2019 season, this could still put the roster in better shape at the position in the long run.
