3. Garret Dooley

Around this time last year, the linebacker position was one of the biggest questions surrounding the Rams, although the argument can be made they ended up better than originally expected.

More from Ramblin' Fan

Between Cory Littleton having a Pro Bowl year to Dante Fowler Jr. discovering new life after coming over from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles had plenty of reasons to be thrilled at linebacker last season.

Once again, the Rams feel confident heading into 2019 since not only are both players still part of the picture, but the team managed to bring in a key veteran in Clay Matthews during free agency.

But when it comes to beyond the 2019 season, well that’s where Los Angeles could end up with a few more questions since Fowler is playing on a one-year deal, and Matthews isn’t getting any younger, despite still showing signs of being able to play for at least a few more seasons.

Garret Dooley may not seem like the most exciting option in the world, but for all the Rams know, a fresh start on a new defense run by Wade Phillips could help the young linebacker finally get on the right track.

At 24 years of age, Dooley still has plenty of time to show he does in fact have what it takes to make it at the NFL level.
