3. Three key linebackers in 70s

Around this time last year, linebacker was one of the key positions in which the Rams had some questions, although they did end up better than expected.

More from Ramblin' Fan

From Cory Littleton surprisingly earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl to acquiring Dante Fowler Jr. before last year’s deadline that eventually led to a one-year deal this offseason, Los Angeles appears to be in solid shape at linebacker for 2019.

Not to mention, the addition of a key veteran in Clay Matthews III to help mentor some of the younger players seems to have the potential to work wonders on the defensive side of the football for the Rams.

With that being said, it was a bit surprising to see all three players earn overall ratings in the 70s since the argument can be made that Matthews (78), Fowler (77), and Littleton could be a little higher.

The good news for Los Angeles is at least from a motivational perspective, maybe this will result in all three linebackers playing at a much higher level in 2019, which the Rams wouldn’t be mad about one bit for obvious reasons.

With all of the competition in the NFC, the Rams are going to need all of the help they can get on both sides of the football, especially with their linebackers on defense.
