3. Talib’s hot start
Isn’t it crazy to think how effective Aqib Talib can still be at this point in his NFL career, as the veteran cornerback continues to prepare for his second year with the Rams?

Last offseason, Los Angeles decided to acquire Talib from the Denver Broncos to reunite him with Wade Phillips on the defensive side of the football, and his presence on the field when healthy always seemed to make a huge difference.
Entering the final year of his contract, only time will tell when it comes to determining whether the Rams will eventually offer Talib another deal, but for now the main focus is on the upcoming 2019 season.
On Wednesday, Talib made his presence felt right away against the Raiders by recording an interception on the very first pass thrown by Derek Carr, which Rams fans loved to see.
Playing alongside Marcus Peters, the Rams will make a strong case once again for having one of the league’s strongest duos at cornerback, and all eyes will be on how well these two play after gaining a year of experience together in 2018.
Assuming all goes well once the real action begins come September, the Rams should expect plenty of plays like this from Talib on defense.
