10. Darrell Henderson

Back in April the Rams decided to use a third-round pick on former Memphis star Darrell Henderson, which came as a bit of a surprise since running back wasn’t exactly a top need for the team at the time.

The fact that Henderson recorded 1,909 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns during his final year with the Tigers shows what kind of special talent he is at running back.

And while the selection of Henderson made it seem like Sean McVay would have some sort of plan to use the rookie running back each week, it was surprising to see him only receive one carry for zero yards during last weekend’s game against the Panthers.

With this in mind, some will question why even have Henderson on this list heading into Week 2, but also it wouldn’t come as a surprise if McVay tried to make the rookie more involved against the Saints.

Henderson’s different style of play to throw off opponents is just one of many reasons why Los Angeles was excited to land their new running back in the draft when they did.

Gurley and Brown will most likely receive a bulk of the carries, but Henderson could end up being a sleeper if the Rams give him more than one carry.
