3. Gurley only saw five carries

Rams fans better prepare for a week filled with plenty of questions surrounding Todd Gurley, and whether his knee is still an issue, because it’s tough to make sense over what took place on Sunday against the Buccaneers.

More from Ramblin' Fan

While fantasy football owners were thrilled over the fact that Gurley happened to find the end zone twice, they were still frustrated to see him only receive five carries for 16 yards throughout the contest.

Even though Los Angeles was trailing throughout the entire contest, and Gurley made up for the lack of carries by catching seven passes, a player with his skill set should never see this few carries if truly healthy, which makes it seem like the knee is still an issue.

For the most part, the Rams were able to get away with Gurley only seeing 44 carries over the first three contests since they won all three games, but now that Los Angeles has suffered their first loss, the situation is much different.

Whatever the reason behind McVay’s decision to hold Gurley to just five carries in the loss to the Buccaneers, the Rams coach better provide some sort of clarification, or the concern will only grow over the next few weeks.
