3. Dante Fowler Jr.

Around this time last year, the Rams coincidentally pulled off another key move with the Jaguars by bringing Dante Fowler Jr. on board to help the defense fill a need at linebacker.

From Jacksonville’s perspective, Fowler was ruled a bust after failing to live up to the hype of being a former first-round pick, but also his NFL career didn’t exactly get off to the best start after missing his entire rookie campaign due to an injury.

Plus, Fowler seemed like one of those players that just needed a fresh start on a new team like the Rams to finally begin living up to his potential, which seems to be the case so far.

After finishing last season on a strong note along with making an impact in the playoffs, Los Angeles felt confident enough in rewarding Fowler with a hefty one-year deal to put him in position to show he would be potentially worth a long-term contract down the road.

Fowler may have struggled to get to opposing quarterbacks after starting 2019 hot with two sacks against the Carolina Panthers, but the Florida product has managed to record 4.5 sacks over the previous two games for the Rams.

Even if these numbers came against the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals, this still shows what Fowler can bring to the table as part of this defense.
