2. Raiders

Football fans shouldn’t be fooled by the current 3-4-1 record by the Detroit Lions since three of their four losses have come by single digits, showing they could easily be in much better shape when it comes to the current playoff picture in the NFC.

Entering Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders, Matthews Stafford seemed to be in the perfect position for a monster game when looking at some of the recent struggles surrounding Jon Gruden’s defense.

And while this turned out to be the case after the former No. 1 pick threw for 406 yards to go along with three touchdowns, this still wasn’t good enough for Detroit to take down Oakland in Week 9 after watching this game go right down to the wire.

Down the road, there’s a good chance the Lions will look back to some of these games like Sunday against the Raiders, and wish they performed better towards the end of the contest.

With the way Detroit is playing, chances are this team will be able to earn some impressive wins over the next two months to keep the race for a playoff spot tight in the NFC, meaning the Lions could be a long shot of a threat to the Rams.
