1. Chiefs

With Patrick Mahomes missing a second game in a row, the Minnesota Vikings seemed to be in the perfect position to knock off the Kansas City Chiefs before Mike Zimmer’s squad lost in the final seconds.

It may seem unfair to pick on a third NFC North team in a row like the Vikings, but also this shows how competitive the division is, and some will even make the case it’s the best in the NFL at the moment.

At the moment, Minnesota currently owns the No. 6 seed in the NFC, but also thanks to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Vikings only trail the Green Bay Packers by one game in the division race.

But since Green Bay already owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over Minnesota, it only seems fair to view the Vikings as the bigger threat to the Rams.

All due respect to Matt Moore since the veteran deserves plenty of credit for helping fill in until Mahomes is healthy enough to return, there weren’t many believers in the Chiefs heading into their meeting with the Vikings.

So even though Minnesota is currently ahead of Los Angeles at the moment in the playoff standings, at least Kansas City was able to help trim the lead down thanks to an impressive win.
