5 Former LA Rams that could return to team in 2020

DT Suh
The closest pairing the LA Rams have ever come to unleashing the full beast of All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald was the 2018 NFL season when he played alongside defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh. Suh was a solid hit for the LA Rams but in the most unusual way. His production was good, but his true value was unleashing the full beast of All-Pro DT Aaron Donald.
After the 2018 NFL season, many expected the Rams to retain Suh, in much the same way expectations were set for the return of center John Sullivan, or running back C.J. Anderson. But the Rams had already decided to use available money to sign skill players to a very lucrative contract. Anderson signed on with the Lions, Sullivan unofficially retired, and Suh would sign on with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now the Rams are looking for help to take the double and triple-teaming pressure off Aaron. And with the exit of both Michael Brockers and Dante Fowler jr., offensive lines will find a much easier time of sending three blockers at Donald. Suh is almost as noticed as Donald on defense, and as such will attract his own share of blockers on plays. That’s why it makes sense to look into bringing Suh back to the Rams.
Suh flourished at a Rams defender. He played in 88 percent of defensive plays and recorded 59 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 19 quarterback hits. He has been in a bit of decline, so he would be a solid signing in the $6-7 million/year range on a two-year contract. Suh would be a great player to have on the roster for the SoFi Sports Complex debut as well.
